The Canadian hip-hop music scene is unprecedented with record breaking artists leading the music industry. One of these refreshing contemporary R&B artists is Toronto native, Terrell Morris. In October 2020, Terrell Morris released a professional lyric video for ‘You Got The Love’ and it is just as extraordinary as the track.

Music is my love language. Rock music is special though and I have been pulled to it ever since I was little. In November 2020, I heard a song that brought me back and really made my ears tingle. It was rock music group Royal Republic’s ‘Magic’. This song gave me full body vibes and not only did I have a new favorite song, it had a crazy custom professional lyric video to go with it.

The east-coast is often referred to as the birthplace of hip hop music. Originating in the 70s, it is characterized by noteworthy lyrics and wordplay and its effortless delivery. Along the way sub-genres like boom-bap emerged, creating an entire new scene for music and industry stars like Statik Selektah. In 2020, Statik released ‘Time’, an epic collaboration of his old school drum beat style with new school lyricist Jack Harlow. They paired this release with a professional animated lyric video unlike any other.

Being a woman in the music industry comes with many challenges and the artists before us have fought against many a hardship. EDM has largely been a male dominated genre of music with representation of women being scarce until recent years where we are now seeing some powerhouse queens ruling the waves. Vybrant Vibes is one of these up-and-coming independent artists and with the release of her 2020 bass banger ‘Afterparty’ and its luminous lyric video, she has the world talking.
