From Real Life to Cartoon: Transforming Yourself into a Cartoon Character for Your Next Music Video

At the LyricVids studio, we understand that music is more than just sound; it is an experience that should be seen and felt. That is why we strive to create captivating visuals that match the tone and energy of each and every song we receive.

Jauz & Masked Wolf – Mercy

We absolutely love what we do and take pride in creating cool new worlds for our clients. Our passion for animation is fueled by the excitement of bringing to life the unique visions of musicians through our animated videos. We believe that we can bring their music to life and create an unforgettable experience for the artist and of course, the audience.

Gary Kemp – Waiting for the Band

One of our favorite things to do at our animation studio is turning the recording artists we work with into cartoons. It is a fun and exciting way for the independent artist or the music label to promote their new song to their fans. When an artist turns themselves into a cartoon character, it creates a new level of engagement and excitement among their fans. Fans can relate to the character and feel like they are a part of the artist’s journey.

Statik Selektah – Time ft. Jack Harlow

Turning an artist into a cartoon character is also beneficial for promoting their new song because it creates a unique brand identity. The character becomes a representation of the artist and the music they create. Fans can easily recognize the character and associate it with the music. It is a great way to differentiate them from others in the industry and create a memorable impression on the audience.

KARRA – Emotional

One of the styles that our illustrators specialize in is the “Saturday Morning Cartoon” style. This style is characterized by bright colors and exaggerated features and often features anthropomorphic animals or superheroes. Think of classic shows like “Scooby-Doo” or “Spiderman” for a good example of this style.

VAVO, nicopop., ZOHARA – Why Do I?

Our illustrators are also well-versed in the rubber hose animation style from the 20s and 30s. This style features exaggerated movements, squash-and-stretch animation, and a distinctive bendy look. It often features anthropomorphic animals and cartoonish humans and is typically used in comedic shorts. Think of classic characters like Betty Boop and Cuphead for a good example of this style.

Morgan James – Back Door Santa

Another style that our illustrators specialize in is the classic/retro style cartoon, such as “Dennis the Menace” or popular Hanna-Barbera cartoons from the Golden Age of Animation. This style features clean lines, simple shapes, and limited animation. It often uses bright, bold colors and features a wide range of characters. The animation is usually fluid, but the overall movements are relatively slow and smooth.

Olivia Newton-John – Every Time It Snows

In addition to traditional Western animation styles, our illustrators also specialize in various different styles of anime/manga. This style is characterized by large, expressive eyes, exaggerated features, and vibrant colors. The animation is often fast-paced and filled with action, but it can also be slower and more contemplative. Anime/manga is typically aimed at a wide range of ages and can feature a variety of genres, from action and adventure to romance and drama.

Maiden Seoul – Verve

Finally, our illustrators are skilled in a more modern/dark cartoon style, similar to those found in graphic novels. This style features heavy, detailed line work, high contrast, and a moody color palette. It often features complex characters with realistic motivations. The animation can be slow and deliberate, with an emphasis on atmosphere and mood or action-packed like in a high-energy fight scene. This style is popular in the various Batman graphic novels as well as Watchmen.

Count Pariah – Black Cloud

At LyricVids, we believe that each animation style has its unique strengths and charm. Our team of illustrators are passionate about bringing our clients’ visions to life and creating unforgettable animated music videos that are tailored to their individual style and vision.
