LyricVids Celebrates 200 Million YouTube Views!

The team at LyricVids are celebrating something really special this week and we wanted to share it with you! We are proud (and gobsmacked) to announce that the video content we have created for so many incredibly talented artists and labels has reached

200 MILLION YOUTUBE STREAMS!

An artist just wants their work to be experienced. The creative team at LyricVids are artists and when we collaborate with a musician on a visual, we want that visual to be seen. We want it to do it’s job and be a memorable and impactful vehicle for the music.

When I see 200M views, what I see is those experiences are being had. The visuals are reaching music fans around the world. We’re really grateful for the opportunity to work on the projects we’ve produced so far. Looking ahead, we’ve got our eyes on the 1 Billion mark; making some amazing videos along the way.” – Anthony, President

From the bottom of our hearts, the whole LyricVids team would like to say thank you to every single one of the artists, music labels and record companies that we work with and all of the music fans around the world that take the time each day to watch all of these videos. Our team has such a passion for what we do and cannot wait to see what the future holds for us!

Let’s take a look at 5 videos that have helped contribute to our success!

  1. Madison Mars – New Vibe Who Dis (feat. Little League)

At a whopping 14 million streams, this lyric video is our number one viewed video of all time (so far!). It features a lot of fun retro visuals such as a retro portable radio, a 007 themed pinball machine, old school arcade cabinets, a rotating VHS tape and of course, you can’t have a retro themed music video without the beloved DeLorean. Other effects such as screen tearing or the subtle tracking lines really help date the video as well. The font is bold and eccentric, garnering that synthwave color coordination as it bounces around the screen. This video was obviously well received by fans and is perfect for the 80s style dance track!

  1. Fireboy DML & Ed Sheeran – Peru

This lyric video is fast paced and full of stunning imagery. With both Fireboy and Ed being international artists, it only seems fitting to showcase the many different beautiful locations mentioned in the track. With our passports in hand, the viewers get ready to go on a ride through what feels like a 3D postcard trip around the world. We’re taken on a hot air balloon ride above the mountains, a trip to the Golden Gate Bridge all while zooming in and out of postcards.  The music video features an analogous color scheme of yellow, orange and green with an elegant glowing serif font to showcase the lyrics – it really is a typographical treat!

  1. Rooftime – Live Your Life

This animated lyric video for the Brazilian DJ trio has always been special to us. Something seemingly so simple can sometimes be quite impactful. Our talented illustrators were able to render a fun cartoon version of that classic 1960s VW Bus while our animators used motion tracking to bring it to life. I love how they opted to keep the bus’s actual shadow giving it that multidimensional feel. The lyrics playfully bounce up on screen using a bold sans serif font. This lyric video is unique and carefree and compliments the track wonderfully.

  1. YNW Melly – Na Na Na Boo Boo

Honoring the song’s waggish energy, the lyric video uses that juvenility to create playfully vibrant visuals starting with the title scene which is clearly influenced by the single cover. I love the toy box finds such as the lego bricks, the toy car, the bouncing rubber ball, the crayons and the puzzle pieces. Some of these creative 3D elements are cunningly placed to coincide with the lyrics such as the scene with the orange toy gun where the lyrics read “And It’s big glock pointed at you“. Settling on a simpler and easily legible font was important. Not only is it easier for fans to read and learn the song, but large sans serif letterforms are great when trying to contract against colorful backgrounds. This lyric video was so much fun to make and fans definitely love it!

  1. T-Pain & Kehlani – I Like Dat

This lyric video starts off with that cool “chat box” style animation between the superstars; a popular aesthetic that we get a lot of inquiries about. The emoji visuals are everywhere and add so much life to the music video. It’s colorful and full of energy, donning in your face lyrics that are impossible to miss. The words bounce, spin, or slide onto the screen and are always on beat. The scene changes are eye catching and really compliment the track’s vivacity. My favorite part is when the champagne bottle top pops! Want more? No problem! There is a REMIX lyric video with even more fun phone visuals!
